We're delighted that this scheme we designed for our client Brenig Construction for a new 16-apartment block in North Wales has been given the green light.
The existing building in Gloddaeth Street, Llandudno, Conwy, will be demolished and replaced with a four-storey block, in keeping with its environment but with some contemporary twists.
As it's in a coastal location, we had to take into consideration issues like tidal flooding and, as a consequence, the building's overall height in relation to neighbouring properties.
Clever use of a mansard roof (one that slopes on all four sides) utilises the roof space and the projecting aluminium profiles give additional living space to apartments beyond the footprint of the building and a sleek modern look. We can't wait to progress the scheme onto site!
