Base is delighted to have secured planning permission for our client, William Fishwick & Son Ltd, to develop two high-end four bedroom family homes in one of Chester's prime residential areas.

The scheme at Curzon Park will include the demolition of an existing house and the build of a pair of new properties designed to capitalise on the stunning location and its sweeping river views.

Curzon Park is one of Chester's most sought after residential areas due to its prestigious location overlooking the River Dee and the city's racecourse, and its close proximity to the golf course. Visible from the city walls, it was important to develop a scheme that was sympathetic to its surroundings while offering the very best in modern living.

We worked very closely with our client and Cheshire West and Chester Council to achieve planning permission for this project, which is located in a Conservation Area and within part of a designated SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).

The homes were ingeniously designed to make the most of the dramatic changing levels on the site. The front elevation, facing Curzon Park North, has a more traditional two-storey aspect to blend into the streetscape with a striking double height glazed entrance with accommodation in the roof space.

The downstairs accommodation will include an open plan kitchen / living /dining area making the most of the enviable outlook. A basement level will offer flexible living space for a cinema room, home office, gym or snug with direct access out to a sunken garden, providing extended outdoor living space.

Upstairs there will be four bedrooms - the master bedroom will occupy the entire second floor complete with a large en-suite, dressing areas and access onto a balcony maximising views to the racecourse. Three more generous double bedrooms are accessed from the first floor landing that hosts a gallery overlooking the ground floor entrance hall.

We are delighted to be working on this project - follow us on social media for more updates on this development and other exciting Base projects.
