Base inspires architects of the future

Base inspires architects of the future

We have joined forces with Shropshire business and education and training providers to take part in an online careers convention and encourage future architects and architectural technicians into the industry.

The two-month long Virtual Careers Live! is for 13 to 18-year-olds and aims to help them explore the range of careers available and the pathway and training required to get there.

It has been organised by the Shrewsbury Colleges Group, The Careers and Enterprise Company and Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.

Our virtual stand in the Built Environment hall showcases some of the residential and commercial projects we have worked on, explains a day in the life of an architect and explains how we approach a scheme from the pre planning stage through to design and managing a project on site.

Managing Director Harry Reece said: “This is a great opportunity for young people to find out more about what working in architecture is like and get an understanding of the variety of roles within a practice.

“A virtual event will allow them to explore careers at their leisure and visit websites like ours to learn more. We’re delighted to be involved and hope it inspires more young people into the many career paths associated with architecture.”
