Build It, July 2022

Getting the design of a 1.5 storey home right can be tricky but the latest edition of Build It magazine has got some useful tips if you’re considering such a project.

The feature (p93-99) showcases extension projects that utilise extra attic space in homes that were once bungalows and new build designs including one of our projects, The Limes.
For this new build home, the local authority specified a maximum ridge height of 7m to reduce the impact of the house on the landscape and to protect the privacy of neighbours. To meet this criteria, our design is cut into the ground and incorporates a mezzanine bedroom and an additional bedroom upstairs.
