Overview
This project involved the conversion of a series of traditional red brick barns in the curtilage of a listed farmhouse in Staffordshire to create 7 no. independent residential dwellings.
Due to the heritage status of the farmhouse a careful approach was taken with regards to demolishing the more recent steel framed barns in order to open up the site and return the layout to reflect that of the original farmstead.
What We Did
During the development of the scheme we worked closely with heritage experts in order to identify and retain key features of the site and to ensure that any elements of heritage value were protected and enhanced.
Our design approach was carefully balanced against commercial viability and we were introduced to the project by national agents Savills UK with whom we engaged with throughout the development of the scheme.
