Britpart are the main distributor of spare parts for the Land Rover and Range Rover, and are based in Craven Arms in south Shropshire.
Base was engaged to help them expand their warehouse complex in order to facilitate the continued growth of their business. This included the addition of new buildings as well as the creation of mezzanine floors across the new and existing warehouses.
What We Did
The logistics for deliveries and outgoing goods had to be carefully considered with the design incorporating a series of loading dock and dock levellers, with fast-acting roller shutters to maintain internal environmental conditions.
Alongside the design for the new building base Architects also tendered the project and provided onsite support and advice in the construction stage of works.
The result
This project involved increasing one of the current warehouse units by adding in excess of 11,000m2 of additional storage space to meet the demand for spare parts and accessories.
The new buildings are 5m high steel portal framed sheds and include large areas of mezzanine structure.
