A proposed scheme to a Welsh tourism park business that looked to condense their administration teams into one central newbuild office ‘hub’.
The company’s vision was to create a sustainable and green office space that actively encouraged collaborative working with all staff, whilst also serving as a flagship building for key clients and suppliers when visiting.
What We Did
Our Conwy and Shrewsbury team designed the building around the use a structural Welsh timber frame system utilising glulam for large expansive supports and avoiding steel work.
With large elements of open glass, canopies were incorporated to manage solar gain during peak months of the year whilst also ensuring glare onto computer screens didn’t become an issue for staff within the building.
The result
All managerial suites were designed to ensure that they still had a relationship with the wider team and did not become isolated, a key feature and requirement for a modern day business that cares for their staff.
At first floor training facilities and staff Kitchen/social spaces were allocated to ensure that within its remote location the team could engage with each other and develop working relationships.
