The Courtyard was a classic barn conversion, from derelict and disused to a functional family home.
Overview
This project involved the redesign of a previously approved scheme to provide a standalone family home in a derelict red brick barn situated in north Shropshire.
What We Did
As part of our role we engaged with our client to understand their personal living requirements.
We reconfigured the internal layout of the proposed floorplan to provide the best use of the space whilst meeting specific needs.
Further to this we provided building regulation and construction drawings to aid the retained contractor during the onsite stage of works.
The result
Due to the varying levels across the site consideration towards landscaping had to be carefully reviewed in order to provide a useable space based around existing site constraints, whilst also ensuring that the solution did not impact upon the character of the existing building in its setting.
We think the results speak for themselves on this project, a classic barn conversion finished to an excellent standard – and another happy client.
