This project involved internal alterations and developments to two former terraced properties in order to create one independent residential dwelling in a Shrewsbury Conservation area.
What We Did
Base Architects were commissioned on the scheme from the development of the design through to the progression of the detailed building regulations and construction drawing package.
We then undertook a competitive tender process and administration of the Contract during the onsite construction phase of work through to completion of the scheme on site.
The result
The works included the conversion of the basement to create a kitchen, dining and breakfast room alongside opening up three of the ground floor rooms to create a single space partly subdivided by a new chimney breast.
One of the existing main staircases was also removed at ground floor level to enable both properties to be linked including works to form bathroom and ensuite facilities.
